Zoha Waseem

Zoha Waseem is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute for Global City Policing, University College London. Her research interests include urban policing, crime, violent conflict and the experiences of ethnic and racial minorities in South Asia and the UK. She holds a PhD from the Department of War Studies, King’s College London. For her doctoral research, she carried out an ethnographic study of the impacts of securitisation policies on police culture in Karachi, Pakistan. She holds an MA from King’s College London and an LLB from the School of Oriental and African Studies. She is also currently the co-coordinator for the Urban Violence Research Network.
