M. A. Baqui Khalily

M.A. Baqui Khalily is Executive Director of the Institute of Microfinance. He was formerly Professor of Finance at the University of Dhaka. Educated in Dhaka, he received his Msc degree and PhD in Agricultural Economics with major in Rural Finance and Banking from the Ohio State University, USA. He has been teaching at the Department of Finance, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka since 1975. His research areas include financial markets, sustainability analysis, rural finance, microcredit, entrepreneurship development, corporate governance and capital market. He was the founding Executive Director of the Institute of Microfinance (InM), Bangladesh.
