Anna Vitali is an Assistant Professor of Economics at New York University. Before joining NYU, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Economics Department at Dartmouth College. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from University College London. Her research lies at the intersection of development economics, spatial economics, labor economics, and industrial organization. She studies how firms and labor markets function in low-income countries, with a particular focus on how information frictions and firm-worker relationships shape production decisions, employment, and search behavior in both labor and product markets.
