Professor Ehtisham Ahmad is a Visiting Professor at the Grantham Research Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and University Professor at Zhejiang University. He is Director of the New Climate Economy/Coalition for Urban Transitions Program on Financing Sustainable Urban Transitions, coordinating country studies on China and Mexico.
Professor Ahmad has considerable experience in designing and implementing reforms on tax and social policy; public financial management and governance in emerging economies. He has authored a number of influential books on public finance. These include Fiscal Underpinnings for Sustainable Development in China (2018) and the Handbook of Multilevel Finance (2015).
