Nick Tsivanidis is a Research Programme Director for the IGC Cities Initiative.
Nick is an Assistant Professor in the Real Estate Group at the Haas School of Business, and the Department of Economics at the University of California at Berkeley. He is also co-director of the Cities Research Programme at the International Growth Centre (IGC).
Tsivanidis is an applied economist with interests across Urban and Regional Economics, Development Economics, and Applied Macroeconomics. His research centers on connecting theory with empirics that combine new sources of granular data with natural experiments to learn about the process of urbanization in developing countries.
