Veronica Masubo

Veronica was formerly a Policy Economist at the IGC London Hub. She is a former ODI Fellow, placed at the Rwanda Revenue Authority and the Ministry of Finance in Timor-Leste. In these roles, Veronica covered areas such as tax policy and tax administration, monitoring and evaluation, public finance management, and development finance. Before joining the IGC, Veronica worked as an Economist with the Centre for Development Alternatives in Uganda, where she contributed to studies on tax policy reform for SME growth and Industrial Policy in Uganda. She has also worked for the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and contributed to analysis on sectors with labour-absorbing and job-creating potential.

Veronica holds a BSc in Economics from Cardiff Metropolitan University and a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Sussex. Her primary research interests are in industrial policy and structural transformation and development finance in Africa.
