The proposal that emerges from this UN Socio-economic Response Plan (SERP) aims at supporting the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) mitigate the socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on lives and livelihoods, while also attempting to deal with pre-existing and underlying conditions in the social and economic framework of the country.
Based on ongoing data collection to track the impact of the COVID-19 on lives and livelihood in Sierra Leone, it is clear that the pandemic has affected almost every sector of the economy and has threatened to reverse most of the gains made over the years.
