Place-based economic development in Zambia's copperbelt
Project Active since Sustainable Growth
Zambia's Copperbelt province has been closely linked to the copper mining industry. Copper output has decreased from 480,000 tonnes between 2010 – 2015 to 360,000 tonnes annually from 2016 onwards. This project will identify trends and investigate the bottlenecks to growth in the province, comparative advantages to revitalise economic activity, and suggest policy interventions.
